Everything’s coming together for a wonderful “Walk and Work” party on Sunday. The big news today is that Joe Walsh, the City’s new point person on Renew Boston, has agreed to come by at lunch to be part of our big group photo for 350.org and to speak briefly about the City’s big push to make sure all Bostonians can take advantage of the energy efficiency programs that we pay into on our energy bills. We’ll also be joined by Khalida Smalls from ACE to lead us in calling Senator Scott Brown so that he hears our message loud and strong: “We’re getting to work to cut carbon. How about you?”
Irma Mejia, Carl Lowenberg and our great Cool JP committee members are putting together a great Green Block Party this Sunday at Irma’s on Gay Head Street in JP. Stop by anytime between 10 and 3. Eat yummy food, have fun, get political, and lend a hand.
If you can only come out for a short while, please make a special effort to be at 13 Gay Head St between 12:30 and 1pm!
