Funders

New World Foundation

Since 1954, NWF has sought to advance civil rights in America. Its core belief that those suffering from injustice are the ones who can best lead social movements has led to its support of local leaders and community-based organizations.

CWA has fought to protect the environment, health, economic well-being and community quality of life since the 1960s. Its goals are: clean, safe, affordable water; prevention of health-threatening pollution; environmentally-safe jobs and businesses; and empowerment of people to make democracy work. CWA acts on the grassroots level through coalitions and campaigns to elect environmental candidates and solve environmental and community problems.

New England Grassroots Environmental Fund

NEGEF supports the work of on-the-ground, everyday people who volunteer for community-based environmental projects. It provides both grants, trainings, networks of similar organizations, and other resources.
